Made of merino wool, silk, and other natural fibers, this miniature piece of art is felted twice! First, the northern night sky is nuno-felted (also known as wet felting) to create the illusion of the colorful swirling sky during aurora borealis. Secondly, the artist needle felts an artic pine forest silhouette in the foreground.
Each felted scene is mounted to a natural wood slice and finished with jute twine for years of durability and easy hanging.
Just like the ever-changing northern lights, each of these images is made by hand and will be therefore, completely unique, so there will be slight variations in color and overall appearance.
Measurements: 4.5 inches diameter, approximagely 1 inch thickness.
