Jerome has accepted the very important task of being the gnome-in-charge this holiday season.
As the weather gets colder, and the world above-ground is covered in snow and ice, most gnome communities retreat underground where it is warm and safe. Underground, they celebrate an important tradition called "Hygge "(pronounced Hoo-ga), which means they the appreciation of coziness and special time spent with their families.
Plates of cookies and biscuits are left on the kitchen table daily. They spend their days decorating, telling stories, laughing, napping, and preparing for the Tree-Lighting Celebration of the last night of the year,
Jerome is in charge of planning the massive Tree-Lighting Celebration. He wears two bells and Holly berries on his cap so he can be easily tracked down within the tunnel system, as he travels from house to house checking on their holiday preparations.
During Hygge gnomes often exchange embraces and say to each other "There is nothing better than this."
*All gnomes are felted from wool by hand with lots of love and just a bit of magic. All gnomes stand approximately 5.5 inches tall and weigh approximately 5 ounces.
