Tanwyn is a Garden gnome with a special kinship to all insects, as he is especially comfortable in speaking their ancient language. He enjoys chatting with beetles and centipedes (mostly because they tend to gossip). Insect language is only audible to humans as "chirps" and "buzzing". Like his insect friends, Tanwyn loves color; his coat is a mixture of different blue tones.
Tanwyn is chatting up a beautiful blue butterfly and learning the news of the day, at least as the butterfly has seen from his travels across the wildflower fields and through the forest.
Tanwyn uses a walking stick that he has found, as he is elderly and moves a bit slower than he used to. His butterfly friend is made of chiffon and painted lovingly by hand.
Tanwyn is one of the older gnomes within the community, he is just about to celebrate his 400th birthday this winter. He plans to celebrate quietly with his closet friends and family at a special meal by the open fireplace.
Tanwyn one of the ten hand-felted gnomes in our 2019 collection "The Enchanted Garden" and available only for a limited time.
All gnomes stand approximately 4.5 inches from the tip of their cap to the tips of their toes. Each arrives with a Collector's bookmark telling their name and unique story.
